Project description
Forest Landscape Restoration Opportunities assessment is a participatory process based on Restoration Opportunities Assessment Methodology – ROAM.
It is oriented to identify the main intervention types for restoration and make a prioritization for them.
During the assessment the areas and sites was identified and specific restoration options was proposed for them.
The project includes 4 components.
- Restoration feasibility assessment;
- Restoration opportunities mapping;
- Pilot sites identification field checking;
- Restoration strategy development.
The assessment was implemented in a cooperation with UNIQUE Forestry and Land-use GmbH (Germany).
